Speech Pathology services at Music Within provide intervention for babies all the way to adults. We work with the client and their family, in the areas of speech development, receptive language, expressive language, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), key word signs and communicative intent.
Music and singing is also incorporated within sessions particularly for early intervention. Music is a powerful platform that supports and enhances communication, intent, social connections and language development. Our Speech Pathology services are in Crows Nest NSW or available for online services

We provide both formal, informal and dynamic speech pathology assessments. In this assessment we review and collect information about the person's communication needs. Assessments are usually conducted over 2 sessions in Crows Nest centre or online. A comprehensive report is provided to all assessment packages.
The Speech Pathology therapy program is tailored to each individual, based on their strengths and specific goals that are set during the assessment process. The goals are decided together with the client and/or family. The length and frequency are based on the individual's needs. Progress is frequently monitored and therapy is always amended if necessary. During the therapy program we also work closely with the family to provide them with information and strategies that they can carry over at home.
We have experience in assessing and trialing assistive technology. This can include high-tech and low-tech Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC). During this process we determine the most suitable AAC system and trial this across a variety of settings.
We provide summary or comprehensive communication reports with detailed results, clinical interpretations, and strengths of the individual. We also provide NDIS reports in preparation for your NDIS planning meeting and assistive technology reports for NDIS if necessary (e.g. to apply for communication device)
We provide individual or group training for Key Word Signing. Please see the Key Word Sign tab for more information
